Our speaker, Pete Sandhu, owner - Five River Aviation, gave a very spirited and informative presentation. He shared historical elements of our airport and then a look at all our airport could be. He is encouraging CHP, and other agencies to locate their aircraft here at Livermore. Such moves would be very helpful to the safety and resilience of our community.

Our speaker, Carlos Valdez, APL for Research & Development at LLNL, gave a very informative and thought-provoking presentation on his reserch on medical countermeasure for fentanyl and related opioids. His talk was very well received, with many follow-up questions from the audience.

Our speaker, Sue Barnes, Manager of the UC Retirees Travel Office, gave a fast moving but very informative and engaging description of the program and travel opportunities available to us. She, as well, focused on the factors that make some trips more demanding than others, and what to look for as we look at these trips.

Our speaker was Stephen Myers, Associate Program Leader (APL) for Nuclear Detonation Detection at LLNL. The presentation on the power of seismic detection was very good, interesting details, excellent speaker, which led to a long questions & answers period. The luncheon had a large turnout.
